Wm relates bad news of a distant relation:

"Poor Jenny Higginson and young George's boy of 10, & Jenny's 'companion,' were victims of the awful Chicago theatre-fire."

The Iroquois theatre fire of Dec. 30, 1903, killed more than 600 people.
