1891-1895 is generally regarded as the time of H'ry's experiment with the theatre -- however, Wm notes that he had other irons in the fire, as well:
"Three books at once! what a fellow you are -- I admire and respect you as never before. Practically I've done nothing at all this winter but lie fallow."
The three books by H'ry published in June 1893 were Picture and Text, Private Life, and Essays in London and Elsewhere.
