"Miss Violet Paget wrote the other day asking when she might call, we replied that we would call on her first, and have been waiting for a day to do it. Meanwhile I have just read 1/2 of her Euphorion, which so far I find simply magnificent for perception, style constructive criticism etc. How comes it you never bragged of her more? She beats Symonds & Pater and all of them."
