Wm to H'ry, April 11, 1892. Age: 50

"There's a great comedy yet to be made out of the University newly founded by the American millionnaire...He is a real Balzackian figure -- a regular porker -- coarse, vulgar, vain, cunning, mendacious etc etc."

Wm had gone "tooth & nail" for funding at Marcus Dwight Larrowe, who wrote about memory under a pen name.  Wm never got the money, but thought the story good enough for one of H'ry's novels.
