H'ry takes the high road in struggling to mend fences over the uneven distribution of Sister Alice's will:
"If in short [Bob] feels unfairly treated, that, I think, represents, on his part a reality, & I have written to him that if this is his view of the case I shall be quite ready to give him $5,000 of my share....You must keep yours. You have 4 children -- & Bob has only two. I have none."
